• Prevailing Applications: Coverings, Cladding, Lining
  • Extracting Location: Pé da Pedreira, Alcanede, Santarém

Moca Creme is a light beige colored limestone, which is characterized by its refined parallel vein, medium grain and uniform background.

  1. Compression breaking load 850 kg/cm2
  2. Compression breaking load after freezing test 820 kg/cm2
  3. Bending strength 99 kg/cm2
  4. Volumetric weight 2430 kg/m3
  5. Water absorption at N.P. conditions 3.6 %
  6. Apparent porosity 8.5 %
  7. Thermal linear expansion coefficient max. val. 4.5 x 10 -6 perº C
  8. Abrasion test 4.5 mm
  9. Impact test: minimum fall height 40 cm

Obs. The physical-mechanical characteristics described concern the most common Moca Creme variety. For harder varieties, a 50 % compressive and flexural strength increase seldom occurs, as well as water absorption and porosity decrease and an increase of abrasion resistance.
Frost resistance is 48 freeze-thawing cycles.
